Mental health x student support services zine. Live brief. Group project - NTU - BA (Hons) Fashion Communication & Promotion - Year 3 – May 2021.
What?
Developed a peer-to-peer zine for NTU Student Support Services, focused on Mental Health & Wellbeing. The zine aimed to reduce stigma around mental health, promote self-care strategies, and provide students with practical techniques for building resilience, fostering healthier habits, and improving overall well-being.
How?
ROOTS is a student-centred resource designed to support mental well-being and cultivate a positive outlook. Built around the acronym ROOTS—Relationships, Ownership, Opportunity, Top Form, and Safety—the publication encourages students to form strong habits and relationships. The biophilic design, inspired by nature, creates a calming environment, helping to ease the stress of transitioning into university life, especially during the crucial first week.
Job Roles:
Conducted primary and secondary research to inform content direction.
Developed consumer profiles to better understand student needs.
Generated ideas to align with the project’s objectives.
Directed content creation, including illustration and image manipulation.
Produced and designed the zine using InDesign and Photoshop.
